Half Marathon Training: Week 4

This past week’s runs were hard – hard to find the motivation to run, hard to care about my form, hard to care about not letting myself walk. I dislike weeks like this. 

Weeks like that require a gimic. My husband running with me, new gear, new location or route – something, anything to get through it! So, compression socks it was! I found a half off code online, so I snagged two pairs for half the price. They are said to help you recovery more fully, help with stability and improve blood flow. I wore them while running my 3 mile run mid-week and my calves were not happy – which tells me I should wear them after my runs instead of during. Live and learn, right? Many people are able to wear them during their runs – try both!

    I need to get a pair! I should really get on this. I’m on Week 2 of training for my first Half. Eeep!

      Yay for training!! It’s fun and scary and makes me so proud of myself all at the same time! haha!
