Half Marathon Training: Week 10 and 11

I have given up on my IT band. I put off physical therapy for as long as I possibly could. I did every exercise I could get my hands on – like this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this and this. If you have other suggestions please send them to me!!

In the meantime, I have a physical therapy appointment on Thursday, because the truth is that now I’m scared. The big fear I have is that I will push it – keep running – and end up doing serious damage to my knee. I’m hoping that an actual physical therapist will be able to give me the pep talk I need and help me come up with a plan of action.

I miss my Garmin and cursing the first two miles until I find my stride. Oh and I’m really sad that I didn’t get to run Goldy’s 10 mile yesterday. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate this week and I can get at least one lap around the lake in. Nashville is officially 12 days away and I cannot wait to get there. The weather is going to be fantastic, and it’s going to be a great get away with some of my favorite people on the planet!

    I’m crossing my fingers that PT will work for you! As a PT, I’m biased to say it will :)
